I'm a visual journalist and filmmaker focused on storytelling. I specialize in video and photography across breaking news, features, and public health coverage. I bring nuance, curiosity, and humanism to my work covering community, politics, and place.
I lead video and photo production for the WashU School of Public Health, where I build visual narratives that communicate the stakes of research, policy, and lived experience. I also work as a freelance visual journalist, with previous staff experience at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, covering stories that ranged from daily news coverage, sports, crime, and long form feature stories.
I thrive in fast paced editorial environments and I know to run a shoot solo or collaborate across departments, pitch and develop narrative arcs, adapt quickly in the field, and deliver work that is impactful and meaningful. I'm as comfortable working within the confines of an institution as I am building something from the ground up in a newsroom or studio. I know how to move between field production and post, the speed of a newsrooms and longer form documentary work.
I hold a master's in journalism from The University of Missouri and I'm looking to bring my experience and eye to a editorial or commercial storytelling team in New York City.
